@andrea-carballo , thanks for the screenshot. I see the problem. You need to change the commands to foreground.

Background commands only work if you install the background service. Most people don't need it though.

@meet-bhagwanani, I think you're right. The agent doesn't work with the latest versions of node js. I know it works with version 14, and I think it only works with early versions of 15. It's on my list to fix at some point, but for now, I hope you don't mind downgrading.

EDIT: Correction - I just tried node version 16.13.1 and it worked.

@alexander-cleary, you trigger a .bat command by putting the full path to that .bat file in the command field. Like this:

      bdadcb88-f150-4501-9295-5198341884a3-image.png

Also, to open a particular spreadsheet, you don't need a .bat file. You can create a command like this:

      1d23a58b-e983-45da-a829-157f5f9aef82-image.png

@Russ I apologize for not specifying, it is the first time I try to do this kind of things. I honestly do not know how I could activate what you point out, if you could guide me it would be of great help. Thank you very much in advance.

@itsmeblake , yes, but you have to use one of the original skills, not the smart home one.

      This post explains how:
      https://www.triggercmd.com/forum/topic/332/smart-reply-for-voice-with-parameters/5

Basically, you put {result} in the Voice Reply field of your command, and use the sendresult script to send the text you want spoken in place of that {result} placeholder.

@Mark-Hollis, do you want to run your command with multiple parameters? Like this?

      notepad one two

If so, do you want to provide those two parameters with your voice? If so, yes, you can provide them via an Alexa routine, but you'll want to use the TRIGGERcmd or TRIGGER command skill instead of the TRIGGERcmd Smart Home skill, and follow this procedure instead:

Open the Alexa app on your phone:

Tap More in the lower right Tap Routines Tap the + in the upper right Tap "Enter routine name" and give it a name Tap "When this happens" then "Voice" and enter the phrase you want to say, then tap Next Tap "Add action" then "Custom" then type: "Ask TRIGGERcmd to run notepad with parameter one two"

@Russ Wil do! I haven't seen the issue with the UI since the latest Win 11 update. May have been an issue with an earlier build.

@JeryGale, if you're subscribed you can have multiple computers.

You could create an Alexa routine to run a command on multiple PC's at once.

You can assign any phrase to our Alexa routine - for example "computers off".
Alexa routines can have multiple actions.
If you have the Smart Home Alexa skill enabled, your commands will show up under "Smart Home" when you add your actions.

So you could say, "Alexa, computers off" and have it run your shutdown command on all of your PC's.

Turning the computers on would require you to setup a Wake-On-Lan script. I have a command that can turn my PC on that runs on my Raspberry Pi because it's always on.

@Russ, very good. I think applying a decode('utf-8') should solve this problem. I really hadn't tried using special characters yet.
