@matt-packwood, do you have any antivirus software on your Mac? You could try disabling that temporarily to see if that's killing the agent somehow. That might explain why it's happening on your mac but no one else has seen it.
-
@russ Ah!!!! It is Sophos Anti-Virus... Now I need to see how to stop it "killing TriggerCMD".
-
@matt-packwood, Just an Idea (I don't run a Mac) What if you didn't allow Sophos service to auto load on startup then start the service after TRIGGERcmd had loaded? I suspect Sophos service is loading first.
This seems to indicate you can stop and start Sophos

@tuicemen I know that what I am about to say is different than your suggestion but I think it is relevant. I started without Sophos working then turned it on, TriggerCMd was killed...
-
@matt-packwood, thank you. That helps me to know that because I should fix that if I can. I used to use Sophos. It's good AV.
I'll see if I can figure out why Sophos thinks the triggercmd agent is a virus. I hope I can get a free scanner from their site and reproduce the problem. Stay tuned.
EDIT: I scanned with the free SophosScanAndClean_x64.exe tool and it did not identify my Windows TRIGGERcmd agent as a virus. I'll try the Mac version next.
-
@russ I am running on an iMac, also I am reaching out to Sophos support...
-
@matt-packwood, thank you. My Mac Sophos scan came back clean, and the agent still worked afterward, so I'm not going to be able to reproduce it unless maybe I buy a copy of Sophos. Let me know what they say please.
-
@russ I got it working, I had to add the agent to the exclusions (see picture).
-
@matt-packwood, good. Thanks for showing that to other users too.
-
@russ No worries, I am having an issue with the iOS app as I have to log in every time, is this the expected behavior?
-
@matt-packwood , I have the same issue with Windows
not my Android phone. It is probably a issue with the OS set not to remember passwords (log in info) -
@tuicemen Thi sis what my iOS app looks like when I reopen it.
-
@matt-packwood, sorry I don't have a mac to test. Was this after a reboot or just if you close then reopen?
I just double checked and see I actually don't have the app on my PC.
I shut down my phone then restarted and the app never asked for a password.
I suspect it is a security thing that must be set on your mac. Has it always behaved this way? @russ may have some suggestions -
@matt-packwood, no that's not expected behavior. You should only have to login once. I'll test that and fix it if I can reproduce it. Thank you for reporting it.
In the meantime you could use the PWA at https://app.triggercmd.com It's very similar. In fact it's better because it also gives you access to your panels. You should be able to save the PWA app to your iphone as an icon too.
-
@russ The PWA works fine, thanks.

-
@matt-packwood, fyi, the iOS app remembers your login now. Thanks for reporting that problem.
-
@russ I saw that, many thanks!
