Re: Parameters with Alexa not working

Hey Russ, first of all, TriggerCMD is an awesome app, and I'm using even for some tasks at work.

I'm Brazilian and I have to say that everything works just fine, but as others have already said before, the direct translation for portuguese (Brasil) is too long and not intuitive. Actually it's wrong and doesn't make any sense at all.

Maybe we can talk, discuss and update these pt-br commands to alexa? I would like giving you a hand on that !! Just let me know !!

      Best regards!

Also.... I tried what you have suggested here.... But no success 😞

Anyone could get this work in portuguese? Because it didn't work for me.

@Ícaro-Paiva, thank you for telling me the Portuguese sentence structure is wrong. I think you're the first to tell me.

This is the Portuguese sentence structure for the original (non-smart home) skill with a parameter:

Alexa, pergunte Execute Comando executar notepad com o parâmetro X.

What would be a correct structure?

            The correct structure would be:

Alexa, execute notepad com o parâmetro X.

@Luis-Gustavo, thank you! I'll add this structure soon.

@Luis-Gustavo, it turns out that's already one of the sentence structures for the Portuguese "Execute Comando" Alexa skill:

Sorry for delay.... I've been too busy these days.

I think Smart Home skill kind of made things easier.... Because I can use routines with all kind of voice triggers flavors ( i have no ideia if this makes senses in english, but I'm pretty sure you got the main idea, lol )

But, as the original post suggest, the correct translate for "Alexa, pergunte Execute Comando executar notepad com o parâmetro X." would be:

Alexa, peça à TriggerCmd/Trigger/TriggerCommand para executar calculadora com parametro X

I've tested, and portuguese-Alexa recognizes "TriggerCmd/Trigger/TriggerCommand" as well. So you don't have to translate your app name.

                      @Ícaro-Paiva, that's only for the non-SmartHome skill.
