      I just added the smart app to my SmartThings. I can see it from the mobile app but when I try to save it (after selecting my triggers), I always get a message saying "An unexpected error occurred".

      Any idea what might be causing this?

        Actually, I can save it if I don't select any trigger. After that, if I try to modify the app and select a trigger, I am getting a "Error saving page" message.

        Also, I didn't add/delete/change any of my trigger after installing the smart app inside SmartThings.

          @kalto,

          I've been playing with the TRIGGERcmd SmartThings SmartApp, trying to re-produce your error but I can't.

          I've had problems like that in the past if I created a virtual switch for a triggercmd command, then changed or deleted that command. I thought I fixed that though. I tried just now and I can't reproduce that problem either.

          In case you're having a similar problem, will you please try this? This solved it for me in the past.

          1. Delete any TRIGGERcmd virtual switches you have. Do that by tapping the switch (not the On/Off button), tap the gear in the upper-right, then tap Remove.
          2. Re-add virtual switches using the TRIGGERcmd smartapp.

          FYI - the last time I updated the SmartThings code was on Nov 23 2017. I say that in case you're not using the latest code.

          Also, what version of the SmartThings app are you using? SmartThings Classic? I've only tested on SmartThings Classic so far. The new one doesn't work for me.

            Ok, sorry, my fault.

            Just checked the log in SmartThings and there was an error saying that it couldn't find a device type.

            I went and double check your instructions (which I should have done first) and realized that it seems like I went too fast when configuring the smartapp and I skipped the device handler.

            Just added the device handler and now things work as they should!

              Awesome @kalto. I'm glad that was it.
