Change the language
-
Hi Ross, can you put TriggerCMD in Portuguese? Do you have this function? To thank.
-
@Robertofilho, is any of the text on site in Portuguese? Please send me a screenshot.
I tried to have the website detect your browser's language and display the language it detects.
I see I need to update some things like the "Go to Panels" button, but it's mostly in Portuguese if I set my browser's language to Portuguese.
-
@Russ I would like to change the language within the program, the browser I can translate
-
@Robertofilho, I see. I'll look into it. Hopefully I can have it detect the language of the computer so I don't have to release multiple versions of the TRIGGERcmd agent software.

@Russ
we've managed to configure the language setting on the fly using an ini-file located at the application's root path. If that file was existing the app has taken its Gui language settings from the file instead of using the English default*.
You could offer your members to contribute their own language files within the forum. A first step would be to provide a template. That way you wouldn't have to do the translation on your own.[current commands] foreground=Vordergrund
*that way my colleague created his own German (well, Austrian slang) X-mas release
PS. I wouldn't connect the app to the system language setting bc a system's 1:1 translations often end up lousy, ie ...
command (engl.) = Kommando/Befehl/Aufforderung/...
...while you would say "Ausführen:" (=execute) -
@Robertofilho I'm making some progress.
Thanks @aaaaa12345. I'll probably use the google translate initially, then get advice from people on the forum who speak the languages for how to fix any bad translations. I'll probably also take your advice about using a config file to determine the language, like language.cfg with "en", "pt" or "de" .. in it.

@Robertofilho, I created a new version of the Windows agent that should detect and show Portuguese.
Please test it if you wouldn't mind.
EDIT 9/24/22: If you tried it before today, please try it again. I fixed a bunch of problems with the translation. It looks pretty good now. I'll add languages, update the Mac and Linux versions and publish them soon.
If you want to override the language auto-detection, update the language.cfg file. So far (9/24/22) the 2 valid values are en and pt.
