Is it possible to change the "action" word?
-
I'm wondering if its possible to change the "Alexa -run- something" to "Alexa -open- something". So changing that especific keyword.
In English is not that big of a deal, but in my language those can get pretty weird, its like saying alexa turn on turn off lights LOL

@raquel, I'm curious, can you tell me exactly what you're saying to Alexa?
If you're saying something like turn on/off lights, you're probably using the TRIGGERcmd Smart Home skill, which is good - that's the best one. The reason it's like that is the Smart Home skill creates a Smart Home device like a light switch for each of your commands. The fact that Alexa has a list of those virtual switches ahead of time is what allows her to match what you said to one of those commands so well. I know it's a little awkward to say it like your command is a switch, but this is why.

@raquel Iguess you could create a routine and set any word sequence, then alexa will execute that you want.

@gustavo-0 , @russ It is possible to use other action words rather then on/off with the smarthome skill as I reported here https://www.triggercmd.com/forum/topic/1958/different-word-options-for-alexa-google-on-off-commands. I posted my findings in another forum when I first started playing with Alexa, long before the routines option was added to Alexa.
