      Hello Russ,

I cannot run commands from my echo dot. It seems that the skill is not working. I have a presentation to make today and this is urgent.

      Thanks,

I got it to work after removing all smart devices and re-discovered all devices. My echo dot has been unplugged for days I'm not sure if that's the reason why smart devices suddenly stopped working.

Is this some kind of bug? How do we avoid this to happen again? Thanks.

@esaltat, your echo dot being unplugged shouldn't had anything to do with it. Is it possible you renamed your computer? That still requires you to delete and re-create your Alexa devices. I'll look into automating that.

@esaltat, fyi, I updated the server code so it recreates the associated Alexa devices if you rename a computer.

So if you rename your computer in the future you won't have that problem.
