@russ Sorry for the bump, time flies.
Just wondering if you ever found a workaround for this?
@tim-s Strange decision for sure.
Out of curiosity, why are you using TCMD to control lighting? Assuming you have a Z-Wave enabled device with Google Assistant compatibility?
Hi,
Quick question that's been bugging me a bit.
Did Google push an update that has changed the way TCMD operates? I've noticed the voice from TCMD has changed a bit. Additionally, "Hey Google, ask TriggerCMD run X" with a the voice reply set to "(space)" now says "Okay, let's get TriggerCMD" followed by the bing bong sound.
I've set up about a hundred(+) shortcuts using "ask TriggerCMD run X" which used to just give the bing bong sound without Google talking to me.
Any insight?
Thanks!
Hi Russ, sorry for the late reply I've been a bit busy with work.
It hasn't been happening since I made this topic, so I'll keep an eye on things and will PM you if I have more issues.
Regards.
Hi Russ, yes they're the same Google account.
I'm using TCMD with a Google Home and a Google Home Mini and my GH Mini keeps unlinking from TCMD. I'll issue it a command, my regular GH will execute the command while my Mini will say "It looks like you haven't linked your etc" and makes me re-link my account from the Google Home app again.
This has been going on for quite a while. Once every 2-3 weeks I'll need to re-link for my Mini, but recently its been happening every second or third day.
Any ideas?
Hi Russ, thanks for this.
I spent the last 5 hours setting up AHK commands for Kodi control and now I'm curious about backing up my triggers.
On a Windows machine, does backing up the AppData folder suffice?
If I reformat my PC or accidentally remove a trigger, will the triggers be saved in the cloud? Is there a way to make a backup of them? I created 120 of them and I really don't want to have to do that all again should the worst happen haha.
Regards.
@russ Hi Russ, thanks for the reply.
The exchange involves the following:
Me: Hey google, talk to Trigger CMD
TCMD: Say something like "Run calculator on laptop"
Me: Run XBMC Master on HTPC
TCMD: Could not find command voice word 'XBMC Master on HTPC on desktop'.
I've named my desktop, Desktop and my HTPC, HTPC in my profile and the commands will run on both PC's via the button click but Google seems to default to desktop for all commands.
Hi, I just upgraded my account to a premium subscription so I could run commands on 2 separate PC's under the same account. The commands work via the cloud, applications will launch, but whenever I try and ask Google to open a program on my secondary computer, it defaults to the 'desktop' PC I originally set up and says "could not find voice command on second computer name on desktop.
Is it possible to run commands on 2 PC's or have I got something miss-configured?
Excellent program nonetheless!
Thanks!
